BUSES
Trailways Bus System, Greyhound Bus Lines and Redwood Empire Lines are three of the major bus companies that travel the highways of the Golden State. In each of the major metropolitan areas there is public transportation. The San Francisco area features BART, the well-known Bay Area Rapid Transport, and in the Los Angeles area you will find the Southern California Area Rapid Transit.

TRAINS
Amtrak has over 2,100 miles of routes, with stops in 53 cities in the state. The rail service indirectly connects with many other small towns and communities.

AUTOMOBILES
The highway system in California is well-constructed and well-known. Highway 1 follows the Pacific Coast line from the northern end of the state to the southern and Highway 101 runs inland from north to south. California is also part of the interstate highway system.
